Last updated: 2026-07-01
Welcome to Star Crew (star-crew.com), a fan-made coordination tool for Star Citizen players. These Terms of Engagement ("Terms") govern your access to and use of star-crew.com, including all related features such as operation listings, fleet manifests, and account services (the "Service").
By creating an account, logging in, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. By registering, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that all information you provide is accurate.
2. Fan-Made Project Disclaimer
Star Crew is an unofficial, fan-made tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Cloud Imperium Games or Roberts Space Industries. "Star Citizen," "Roberts Space Industries," and related logos are trademarks of Cloud Imperium Games. Star Crew does not claim any ownership over these trademarks.
The Service is provided independently and is not an official channel for Star Citizen support, purchases, or account management. Any referral links to robertsspaceindustries.com are provided for convenience only.
3. Your Account
3.1 Registration
To access certain features (creating operations, joining a crew, managing a fleet manifest), you must create an account by providing a commander handle, a valid email address, and a password, or by authenticating via Discord.
3.2 RSI Handle Linking
You may optionally link an RSI handle to your Star Crew profile. You are responsible for ensuring that any RSI handle or in-game identity you provide is your own or that you are authorized to reference it. Star Crew does not verify in-game ownership beyond what is publicly available through Roberts Space Industries' platform.
3.3 Discord Integration
If you choose to authenticate or connect via Discord, you authorize Star Crew to access basic profile information made available through Discord's authentication process (such as your Discord username and ID) in order to create or link your account. You can revoke this access at any time through your Discord settings.
3.4 Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
4. Operations, Fleets, and User Content
4.1 Creating and Joining Operations
Star Crew allows you to create, browse, and join "operations" (in-game missions or activities) and to manage fleet manifests associated with those operations. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of any operation details, mission briefings, role assignments, or fleet data you submit.
4.2 Conduct Toward Other Pilots
By using the Service, you agree to:
- Treat other commanders and crew members with respect;
- Not use the Service to harass, threaten, defraud, or deceive other users;
- Not impersonate another person or in-game identity;
- Not use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to organize activity that violates Cloud Imperium Games' own terms of service or code of conduct.
4.3 Content You Submit
You retain ownership of the content you submit (operation names, briefings, handles, etc.), but you grant Star Crew a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, store, and process that content solely for the purpose of operating the Service. Star Crew reserves the right to remove any content that violates these Terms.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Scrape, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the normal operation of the Service;
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data;
- Use automated tools (bots, scripts) to create accounts, operations, or fleet entries at scale without prior authorization;
- Upload malicious code or attempt to disrupt the Service's infrastructure.
6. Suspension and Termination
Star Crew reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct harmful to other users or to the Service itself. You may also delete your account at any time.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Star Crew does not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that operation data, fleet manifests, or player information will always be accurate or available.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Star Crew and its operator(s) shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service — including but not limited to loss of data, missed operations, or disputes between players arising from coordination through the platform.
9. Changes to the Service and These Terms
Star Crew may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We may also update these Terms from time to time; continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of [insert country/jurisdiction — e.g., France], without regard to conflict-of-law principles, unless mandatory consumer-protection laws in your country of residence provide otherwise.
